If you know a portion of your email address but not the entire email address or want to search for a group of similar email addresses, you can use the Wild Card to search. If you know a portion of the email address, you would type in the portion you know, and use the * symbol to cover the portion you don't know.
Example: e*@smokingtoad.com
This would return all user profiles for email addresses that matched your text with the exception of the wild card asterik. The wild card asterik allows for any number or combination of characters. Using the wildcard asterik, you can also search for a group of similar addresses, such as anything @aol.com. This will pull up a list of all email addresses ending in @aol.com and allow you to view or edit their user profiles. |
